Oxbow Raiders 4-H Club
We are also the home of the Oxbow Raiders 4-H Club since 1963, it’s one of the oldest clubs in New Jersey.
Founded in 1963 by Veron Bowles, the Oxbow Raiders 4-H Club is one of the oldest clubs in the state. Our club’s projects are horses and horsemanship. We usually meet twice a month on Saturday afternoons.
We do fun activities such as the Halloween Party and Equine Costume Contest, our Holiday Party and Gymkhana and our Easter Egg Hunt. We have educational activities such as County Presentation Night and project work related to horses. We have an annual awards dinner where our officers are installed and new members are initiated.
4-H is open to girls and boys in 4th grade through 13th (freshman in college). Prep membership is open to youngsters in 1st through 3rd grade. There are no fees to join, other than the annual dues of $35.
The dates for our Community Service Food Baskets are March 27th, 2021 for our Easter Basket and November 13th, 2021 for our Thanksgiving Basket.
